How the Micro-Donation Movement Works
We believe that when thousands of people pool their small change, they create a tidal wave of positive change. Explore our operational blueprint below.
The Power of the Spare Dollar
Traditional fundraising places the burden on single donors to give large sums. In contrast, the micro-donation model leverages collective generosity. One dollar a week is an amount that is financially painless for most Australians, yet when pooled, it creates substantial capital capable of funding major projects.
By subscribing, you join a "giving circle"—a democratic framework where everyone contributes equally and has an equal vote. It makes philanthropy accessible, sustainable, and inclusive.
Rigorous Advisory Vetting
We don't just pick any charity. Our volunteer advisory board conducts audits of small-to-medium grassroots organizations to ensure your money is handled with extreme responsibility.
Step A: Legal Verification
We confirm active registration with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and endorsement as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Item 1 by the ATO.
Step B: Financial Analysis
We scrutinize their annual reports to ensure that administrative overheads represent less than 15% of total income. Exactly 85%+ must reach frontline services.
Step C: Capacity and Impact Audit
We assess their operational capability. Can they deploy the pooled grant ($15,000+) effectively? We look for direct, tangible project deliverables (e.g. food purchases, outreach van fuels, or textbook orders).
Democratic Voting
On the 1st of every month, we profile three vetted charities on our portal and email our giving circle members their voting ballots. Each donor has exactly one ballot.
Members have 14 days to review candidate pitches, watch short video summaries, and submit their votes. This process keeps donors engaged with the grassroots charity sector and introduces them to smaller causes they might not otherwise discover.
At the end of the 14 days, the ballot closes. The charity with the most votes wins the primary grant pool. The other two candidates receive minor funding distributions backed by corporate matching sponsors.
Direct Payouts & Proof of Impact
Once the vote is finalized, the pooled funds are transferred via bank wire directly to the winning charity within 5 business days. We charge no commissions, fundraising fees, or cuts.
Within 60 days of receiving the grant, the charity is required to submit a detailed **Proof of Impact Report**, documenting the project delivery with receipts, photographs, and field narratives. These reports are published directly on our portal and emailed to all donors.
