Bears of Hope

Bears of Hope helps families heal from a loss through miscarriage. Bears of Hope provides counselling, group support and a national program of healing workshops focussing on surviving grief and learning how to live through it.

Mahboba's Promise

Mahboba's Promise uses its local knowledge of Afghanistan to protect and advocate for women and children. Following the Taliban's return to power, Mahboba's Promise provides support for new Afghan arrivals resettling in Australia.

Save the Children is a charity focussed on keeping children in school and minimising the impacts of war and disaster, with a current focus on flooding in Pakistan, and the wars in Ukraine and Syria.

Zahra Foundation

In 2010, Zahra Abrahimzadeh was murdered by her former husband after 20 years of domestic violence. In 2015, the Zahra Foundation was established in Zahra's honour to empower women's financial independence and to support women and children affected by domestic and family violence.

OIC Australia

OIC Cambodia provides a voice for the voiceless. Cambodia has more than 600,000 people with communication disabilities, but not one fully trained Cambodian speech therapist (ST). In addition to advocating on this issue, OIC Cambodia trains parents, teachers and medical staff, and is working to develop a university Speech Therapy program.

Gifts for Manus and Nauru supports asylum seekers in PNG and Nauru through the provision of mobile phone credit. They also have ongoing programs to provide access to medical and dental treatment, and professional trauma counselling.

Nappy Collective

The Nappy Collective is a Melbourne based charity with operations across over 60 Australian cities and towns. Their goal is to maximise the health and hygiene of Australian children, whilst eliminating nappy stress - when families cut back on essentials in order to access nappies for their children.  They provide nappies for children experiencing disadvantage across Australia by mobilising communities, raising funds and encouraging social change.

Thumbs Up

Thumbs Up runs a range of health and nutrition programs targeted at Indigenous youth, including its "Good Tucker" program which helps customers of community stores identify healthier food items with a Uncle Jimmy’s "Thumbs Up! seal of approval".

Foodbank

Foodbank is the largest hunger relief charity in Australia. Foodbank links surplus food and groceries to people in need. Last year, Foodbank sourced 77 million meals for its charity partners.  Foodbank is involved in critical disaster response, including in the recent east coast floods.

The Cova Project

In Africa, many girls and women miss about 50 days of school or work per year, due to a lack of menstrual products. The Cova Project provides menstrual cups to those most in need. 
Cova has three active projects in Liberia, Malawi and Uganda, and is currently establishing a fourth project in Ghana.

Safe Pets Safe Families

Research shows that women delay leaving violent relationships in fear of what will happen to their pets. Safe Pets Safe Families (SPSF) provides services to people and their pets who are facing crisis situations, especially domestic violence. SPSF removes the barrier to someone leaving a dangerous situation with pets, and reduces animals being surrendered and needlessly euthanised.

BETTER Timor

BETTER is working to bring high quality education to vulnerable communities in East Timor. Its current operations focus on Cailaco, a remote town that is located 2.5 hours away from the nearest high school. BETTER's work in this area is bringing education to 75 additional students each year.

Droplets in a Stream 

Many children in Kenya and Uganda are living in slums, and at risk of child sacrifice by witch doctors. Others have been abandoned. Droplets in a Stream works with trusted leaders to give these children a future. They provide financial support and practical training to community leaders, facilitating projects for the long-term health, education and safety of local children.

Asylum Seeker Resource Centre

The ASRC aid and advocate for some of the world's most vulnerable people - those fleeing war and persecution - to rebuild their lives in Australia. Asylum seekers are subject to some of the worst impacts of the coronavirus pandemic - facing immense social isolation in addition to economic and health impacts. We are delighted to support the ASRC in its efforts to ensure the safety and health of new Australians.

Launch Housing

A housing crisis is now the top reason people experience homelessness, followed by those who report domestic and family violence as a factor. Launch Housing offers emergency shelter, crisis accommodation, and specialist support so those at risk can secure a safe home.

Pollinate 

Between India and Nepal, over 280 million people are living in poverty, with less than $1.90 a day. Pollinate is empowering women as leaders of change, identifying and training local women entrepreneurs in disadvantaged communities. These entrepreneurs are distributing household products, such as solar lights and cooking appliances - improving health, and saving time and money for the world’s most neglected communities.

Holy Fools is a local, independent, grassroots charity focusing on the Yarra Ranges (Victoria). Holy Fools offers hope to individuals and families experiencing disadvantage, homelessness, addiction, mental illness and isolation.

Project Respect is working towards a world where women are free from trafficking, sexual exploitation, violence and harm. Project Respect provides support and referral services for women trafficked for sexual exploitation and women in the sex industry, including access to essential services.

Rett Syndrome is a severe genetic disorder affecting the brain development in children. The RSAA is a Melbourne-based organisation enhancing the quality of life for people living with Rett Syndrome, through research, advocacy, and community support.

SisterWorks

SisterWorks brings women together in a safe space to learn, experience, share, support and grow through face to face and safe digital platform education and knowledge sharing. The Sisterworks Empowerment Hub has Four Pillars supported by an integrated program of social, design and business mentors. 
To date, Sister Works have supported more than 492 women from 56 different countries. To increase the number of migrant and refugee women empowered to access opportunities in the workforce, SisterWorks is expanding its model into the Victorian regions of Dandenong, Bendigo and Carringbush.

Bali Children's Foundation

BCF provide education programs for disadvantaged regions of Bali and nearby islands. Since 2002, they have helped 76 villages achieve better living standards for themselves, their families and broader communities.

Orange Sky Australia

Orange Sky Australia is the world’s first free mobile laundry service for people experiencing homelessness. In late 2014, two mates from Brisbane installed a couple of washing machines and dryers in the back of their old van and visited parks around Brisbane to wash and dry clothes for free. 
Today, Orange Sky has 33 services across the country. It has added shower services and remote vehicles. Most importantly, Orange Sky volunteers have engaged in 233,574 hours of conversations to date, helping to challenge the perception of homelessness and positively connect communities all around Australia.

Water for a Village

Water for a Village provides fresh, clean water to villages in Ethiopia - one village at a time. WFAV has now installed 33 improved water sources, helping almost 10,000 people access clean water.
